Technique: How To Stay Safe On Your Ride To Work – BikeRadar.

“You must be brave!” Cycle to work and someone will say that, or at least imply it, because cycling on today’s roads is ever so dangerous. Except, actually, it isn’t.

“It’s about the management of risk, not simply the fear of risk.”

Hi I was thinking of buying a fold bicycle and use it to ride to bus stop then carry it to my workplace. I notice these bike has small wheels so I wonder if it is not suitable for this kind of bike to ride uphill in daily basis? The place I stay was located uphill.

    • desmond: I’m wondering how long is the route to the bus stop?

jerping: Thanks for the links! Always motivates me to ride after reading articles like this.

  2. if you get a foldie with gears, there is no problem with going uphill. The small wheels of foldie make it easy to cycle on flat terrain or small ascent.

Why take the bus, when you can cycle the whole journey? Only take bus if it rains. Good luck.
