27/8: Saturday Bike Ride to Yut Kee

Last Saturday, missus and I decided to ride to Yut Kee in the morning. Woke up early (as in 8:30am), packed our stuff, and Chevy and Abby (our pet name for Curve) in the Swift. We drove to Great Eastern Mall.

Once we unloaded the “machinery”, we rode to Ampang Hilir Park for some photography time. The park was quiet, and lovely. It was the last weekend before the long public holidays.

Still yawning?!

After that, we rode along Jalan Ampang Hilir before turning into the busier Jalan Ampang. All the way to Jalan Dang Wangi. I was surprised by the crowd at Yut Kee. Nevertheless, we lock the Chevy and Abby on a tree just outside the shop and we found a place to sit within 5 minutes.

We ordered chicken chop and pork bun. The food was delicious. It wasn’t my first time here, but my first time eating those two.

It was very satisfying. Everything was devoured, except a small piece of bone. After the breakfast stopover, we hit the roads again. We took Jalan Ampang and Jalan U-Thant to go back to Great Eastern Mall.

I think this will be our regular cycling route to Yut Kee. The route is flat, less traffic on weekends morning and a great breakfast stopover. Next time, I will want to order the Ngau Lam Dry Noodle and Roast Pork Roll.

The route, though was not Endomondo-ed, it was around 15km (from Google Map). A good workout for the weekend.
