Today, I was selected by TimeOutKL (via twitter) to watch The Mechanic at GSC 1Utama. So, we drove to 1Utama. Since we arrived quite early (there was no traffic jam, surprisingly), we decided to get something to snack before registering at TimeOutKL desk. We decided to go to Delicious.
Lemon Meringue Pie and Tall Latte @Delicious
Lemon Meringue Pie – the crust is crunchy, lemon filling is appetizing, but the meringue is too sweet and creamy, making my latte tasteless
After the expensive fares at Delicious, we went to collect the tickets from the TimeOutKL desk. A very nice lady was at the registration desk. She was gracious to let me take a photo of her.
Ain’t she pretty and lovely? I am sorry I didn’t get her name and number
We got our tickets promptly from the nice lady (oh, I need to send my fingers for manicure)
What about the movie? Well, row G is not a very nice place to watch the movie on a big screen. Nevertheless, I tried to enjoy the movie regardless of the near-front row. How can I put it nicely? Jason Statham’s movies are all of one kind since he plied his trade in Hollywood. Gone were the days of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Now, it’s all about fast car, fighting, guns and cute girls. How I missed Guy Ritchie’s touch!
The only parts about The Mechanic that I really like were the cars – Maserati and others.
I would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to TimeOutKL for giving me the chance to watch The Mechanic.

What’s the matter with people nowadays? They are plugging it in at cafes and coffee houses. They bring their laptops. They plug it in. They power up the ‘book’. They surf the internet. What is that all about?
Only if I could see the same people doing it at Kedai Kopi Wei Sek at my neighbourhood pasar. Or, at the Golden Dragonboat Restaurant. Is anyone doing it on Prego’s?
What is so damn shiok that we need to prowl the web at these ‘hip’ places?
I was so surprised when I walked into Starbucks at Tropicana City. It was full. People queueing up to order their drinks. Then I saw that a quater of the tables were occupied by laptops. I wonder what they do with them? Facebook? Twitter? Youtube? Or downloading mp3s or mpeg? Msn?
How is the advancement of technology helping the people, when they are idling during their free time clicking away at cafes? Don’t people exercise for good health? What about social service and helping the disfortunes?
What am I doing there? I am wasting my time too. Waiting for my movie to start in 60 mins. It is a good place to waste time and life away.
I had this guy leave me a voicemail at work, so i called him at home. And then he emailed me to my blackberry, and so i texted to his cell. Then he emailed me to my home account and the whole thing just got out of control. And i miss the days where you had one phone number and one answering machine. And that one answering machine housed one cassette tape and that one cassete tape either had a message from the guy or it didn’t. And now you have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies. It’s exhausting. – Mary, he’s just not that into you
